5 Pocket Selvedge Denim Pants - Black

A straight-fit one-wash five-pocket denim pant developed in collaboration with SHIOTA, the Okayama-based factory behind the brand CIOTA. Created with the intention of pairing with BATONER knitwear, the fabric is an original 13.5oz selvedge denim woven slowly on vintage shuttle looms. The warp uses SHIOTA’s proprietary slub yarn, while the weft is spun from Sea Island cotton, an extra-long staple cotton, lending the fabric a soft depth against its structured surface. The slow weaving process introduces a natural irregularity, which becomes more apparent over time through wear. A one-wash finish sets the base tone while allowing for gradual fading and character to develop. Referencing WWII-era denim, the construction incorporates hidden rivets and chain-stitched hems. The pattern is subtly adjusted with a slight taper, resulting in a balanced silhouette that sits easily across different styles.
