Founded in 2019 through the partnership of SHIOTA, a sewing and fabric manufacturing company based in Okayama, and Masakazu Arasawa, a designer with nearly 20 years of experience working on eight different brands as a head designer. CIOTA is committed to producing authentic and timeless clothing. Every aspect, from raw material selection to fabric design, weaving, garment creation, and sewing, is meticulously managed in-house, ensuring attention to every detail. CIOTA uses only original fabrics made from the highest-quality Suvin cotton, an extra-long staple cotton known for its softness and durability. Their denim, woven entirely with Suvin cotton for the weft, has become a signature piece. The minimalist designs highlight the fabric’s inherent qualities, with each piece crafted in its own factory to uphold the highest standards of craftsmanship.
